Sandwich

1sand·wich

Pronunciation: \ˈsan(d)-ˌwich, ˈsam-; dialect ˈsaŋ-\
Function:
noun
1 a: two or more slices of bread or a split roll having a filling in between b: one slice of bread covered with food

Mattie May has gotten into the habit of getting herself a "little snack" before we leave for school in the mornings. I don't mind because she is still eating a good breakfast when she gets there so no harm done.

This morning I heard something rattling in the kitchen and went in to check. She was standing on her little pink stool and had her arm completely inside the bread bag. "I gettin' son bread" she tells me and I'm OK with that and continue to get ready to get out the door.

On our way out, she is still eating her bread and I notice she has more than one piece. I ask her "Mattie May, whatcha eatin'?" Those big blue eyes look up at me and she sweetly says "A samdwich."

"What kind of sandwich?" I ask as I take a closer look.

"A bread samdwich!" Yep, she has a slice of bread "sandwiched" between two more slices of bread!

Life is so good!

Please, Don't Ask Me Questions - Just Pray!

There is something going on in my family that I am not ready to talk about. Many of you know some of the things we have been through and have been lifting us up to God in prayer. Please continue.

I know He will take care of things and I know He is taking care of it as I write. I just need prayers. I need prayers that I can accept what He gives us because it is what we are supposed to have. When I am ready, I will talk, but for now, just pray for all of us!

I Love Parodies

I am not a fan of a lot of the music the younger generation listens to these days. Man that makes me sound old, but I don't know how else to say it.

For some reason a while back, I saw a video of Beyonce's song "Put a Ring on It'. It was one of the most excruciatingly painful things I have seen for a while and could not bring myself to watch the entire three and half minutes of it. Thank goodness we live in a free society and I could turn it off.

Today, I came across this video of the same song. Still three and a half minutes, but I was hooked. I thought it was so funny and I hope you do too.

I couldn't embed her actual video, which really didn't disappoint me, but I wanted you to see it if you hadn't already. Let's just say, the gentleman in this video are dressed for a blizzard compared to what she and her dancers have on in the actual video! I am sure her momma is so proud!

So Boring

I have absolutely nothing to blog about!

It is Friday - Yeah! A weekend coming up with nothing planned. Maybe I can catchup on some of my Scrapblogs that I have also been neglecting. Maybe Frank will take me to the pound to look for a puppy. My house needs a dog, I can't stand it without one. Maybe I will clean my house. I don't know about this, it might put my hubby into shock!

One thing I do have planned is church on Sunday. I have missed the last three weeks so I will have to go around reintroducing myself to everyone.

Have a great weekend and maybe, just maybe, something exciting will happen and I will actually have something to blog about that is worth reading.

Have You Missed Me?

I can't believe how long it has been since I posted to this blog! I don't know how the time has gotten away from me! I have no good reason.

I have been posting over at my fishing blog (it is that time of year) so I haven't been totally negligent. But really and truly not much has been going on. I committed to doing a scrapblog page a day and I am, let's see, four days behind! I haven't even taken pictures daily like I am supposed to! Too cold and too lazy I guess.

I am looking forward to this Friday. We are going to a San Antonio Spurs game with my aunt and uncle. Frank won tickets yesterday and they are huge fans! That is what I have to look forward to this week and to try to make myself better about this picture and posting thing!

Laters!
