Sandwich

1sand·wich

Pronunciation: \ˈsan(d)-ˌwich, ˈsam-; dialect ˈsaŋ-\
Function:
noun
1 a: two or more slices of bread or a split roll having a filling in between b: one slice of bread covered with food

Mattie May has gotten into the habit of getting herself a "little snack" before we leave for school in the mornings. I don't mind because she is still eating a good breakfast when she gets there so no harm done.

This morning I heard something rattling in the kitchen and went in to check. She was standing on her little pink stool and had her arm completely inside the bread bag. "I gettin' son bread" she tells me and I'm OK with that and continue to get ready to get out the door.

On our way out, she is still eating her bread and I notice she has more than one piece. I ask her "Mattie May, whatcha eatin'?" Those big blue eyes look up at me and she sweetly says "A samdwich."

"What kind of sandwich?" I ask as I take a closer look.

"A bread samdwich!" Yep, she has a slice of bread "sandwiched" between two more slices of bread!

Life is so good!

Well, I'm sorry but I have had to turn the word verification back on. I have had some things come across my comments that I don't want on there and I think this will solve the problem. To all of you that leave comments regularly, I apologize. Maybe I will be able to take it off soon!
