A week ago today, I was getting everything packed away, getting ready for the long ride home from Galveston!
We had such a great time and now I can relive it over and over. I finished my Scrapblog today! I am so excited. I am going to have it printed off so we will a keepsake from our wonderful trip.
I hope you enjoy looking at it as much as I enjoyed making it.
Remember, click on the scrapblog emblem on the bottom right, then click full screen. You can then adjust the volume and speed.

All is Well
Frank got the call this morning that they will not have to go for storm recovery this weekend. I was glad, even though I didn't see how they weren't needed. There are more than four million people without electricity in the Houston/Galveston area! Seems like they would be wanting as much help as possible! Oh well.
They will find out Monday if they will be needed for station repair and still may have to go. But by then Ike will have been gone from town for quite some time.
Let's keep praying for all those still there, and all the restoration workers and rescuers that have gone in to help.

Um, Excuse Me, but Your Going the Wrong Way!

Unless you have just confined yourself into a hole somewhere, you know that Hurricane Ike is spinning its way towards the Texas Coast, probably making a direct hit to Galveston and Houston. Not only do Frank and I both have family and friends in that area, he is on standby for storm recovery. That means he will be headed south when all others are headed north!
I know we have all put the residents of the coast on our prayer list, but please add all those that will be going in after it hits. This is a huge storm that will effect our entire Gulf Coast region, and that my friends is a lot of coast line!
You know the old saying "EVERYTHINGS BIGGER IN TEXAS" and that includes our storms as well.
