No Stranger

Look down at my live traffic feed. See that one -

Yea! That's the one - Shreveport, Louisiana. That is no stranger. That's me!

Frank and I are enjoying some time here. Tomorrow morning we will rise before the chickens and the pigs to head out to the launch of the 2009 Bassmasters Classic!

Yes, I have spent a little time in the casino, but not much. To expensive for me and the smoke kills me! Really! I have never liked the smell of cigarette smoke and last time I was here I stayed in the bed...sick...from the smoke.

So I managed to find a computer so I am happy as a lark and saving money too! Frank on the other hand...I left him in the casino. Yeah, I know! Probably not the smartest decision I have every made!!

I will check in often and if you wake up early enough (or set the DVR like I did), look for us on Mike and Mike in the morning. Frank said he is going to try really hard to get noticed on their show. You know the one, where they show the goofy people standing out in the freezing cold acting weird to get noticed? Sounds just like my dear sweet husband!!

Love you all and I will check in again as soon as I can!

Word Up, Dawg!

You've seen the pictures, I know you have. What pictures you ask? The ones of my beautiful blue eyed granddaughter Mattie May. So sweet, so innocent. Great personality and a fantastic vocabulary for a three year old. You look into those big baby blues and just melt.

That's why it was so funny to me that she says to me "Word Up!". Yes, she did say it! Sitting there all cute in her Valentine's day Elmo shirt, buckled tight in her car seat on the way to day care. It was all I could do to keep a straight face and, yes, I did ask her to repeat what she said. I had to. I wanted to make sure I understood what she said. Well she said it again and grinned!

Now really, this is not anything bad, we just don't know where she heard it. We don't listen to live TV other than Playhouse Disney and the radio is not on when we are in the vehicle. We are too busy counting school buses, watching for colors, and giving the shapes of street signs. But let me tell you, I couldn't get on the phone fast enough to tell her mom and Grumpy what she had said.

I guess she is just our little Home Girl!

Too Funny!

I found this on my friend Tammy's FaceBook (yes! I am addicted to FB!). This has got to be one of the funniest things I have heard in a long time. I think because the woman is 88 years old, it reminds me of talking to my 93 year old grandmother. I hope you find it as funny as I did.

Who' d of Thunk It?

Twenty five years ago today, we married! I would have never dreamed it would go by so quickly!

How did I marry the most caring, funny, lovable, grumpy guy in the whole world?

I love you Frank and so look forward to the next twenty five (we're having a party on that one!)!!!!
