Word Up, Dawg!

You've seen the pictures, I know you have. What pictures you ask? The ones of my beautiful blue eyed granddaughter Mattie May. So sweet, so innocent. Great personality and a fantastic vocabulary for a three year old. You look into those big baby blues and just melt.

That's why it was so funny to me that she says to me "Word Up!". Yes, she did say it! Sitting there all cute in her Valentine's day Elmo shirt, buckled tight in her car seat on the way to day care. It was all I could do to keep a straight face and, yes, I did ask her to repeat what she said. I had to. I wanted to make sure I understood what she said. Well she said it again and grinned!

Now really, this is not anything bad, we just don't know where she heard it. We don't listen to live TV other than Playhouse Disney and the radio is not on when we are in the vehicle. We are too busy counting school buses, watching for colors, and giving the shapes of street signs. But let me tell you, I couldn't get on the phone fast enough to tell her mom and Grumpy what she had said.

I guess she is just our little Home Girl!

Hey Brandi - thanks for stopping by my blog and how cool is the connection with that video?! I knew it was from your town but that it is someone you know - woo hoo!

That is funny! I didn't realize that phrase was still around either!

Haha! At least it wasn't a four letter word. My children surprise me all they time, like last week with James standing at a locked door yelling at his sister: This is TERRE-E-E-EBLE.

Thanks for stopping by the blog. Hope you have fun at the museum if you make it.
